The Best Sushi Place in Jacksonville: Kingdom Sushi

Located at: 4413 Town Center Pkwy, Jacksonville, FL 32246

Yes, you read that title correctly. Kingdom Sushi is by far the best sushi place in Jacksonville – this is a Jacksonville June Bug promise and we don’t lie.

Kingdom Sushi provides a neat variation of sushi choices, an all-you-can-eat experience, and to top it all off – a meticulous focus on quality.

With a classy indoor area (also providing outdoor seating), this cultured sushi place is the Brazilian variation of sushi.

Now we know what you might be thinking – “Brazillian sushi“?!

Brazil actually has a long term trade relationship with Japan, with many Japanese people living in Brazil and many Brazilians living in Japan. Hence, when you here of Jiu-jitsu there is also Brazillian Jiu-jitsu or – BJJ.

Kingdom Sushi can be found at a total of three locations – Jacksonville, Orlando, and Boca Raton.

Cocktails

The cocktails here are a perfect mixture of Japanese and Brazilian culture. Caipirinha is a famous Brazilian cocktail that consists of lime juice, sugar, and Brazilian style rum or – Cachaça.

Here at Kingdom Sushi, rather than making Caipirinha – they make Caipisake to which sake is used as opposed to rum.

Kingdom Sushi drink menu

The drinks prepared here are exquisite they contain just the right amount of ingredients. Not too much mix that makes the beverage too sweet and not too much alcohol to overpower the taste of your drink – giving you the opportunity to sit back, relax, and enjoy a flavorful concoction.

Kingdom Sushi’s Grape Frost and Strawberry Caipisake

Two drinks that caught our attention is the Grape Frost and Strawberry Caipisake.

The Grape Frost is a tasty grape cocktail made with real frozen grapes, sake, and an actual grape popsicle to enhance the flavor.

The Strawberry Caipisake is made with strawberries, sugar, and sake.

As you see – Kingdom Sushi plays the game with class. Such simple and very little ingredients to create their cocktails yet, they come out tasting delicious.

Appetizers

Coxinha, Pastels, Torresmo….One thing to know about Brazil is that they take their fried foods seriously over there. With that, they cleverly implemented some tasty and creative Brazilian-derived fried foods to their menu.

First off we have the Shrimp Coxinha. The Shrimp Coxinha is stuffed with cream cheese and shrimp. This sounds pretty basic right? But Brazilians like to play a game at another level. Their cream cheese is as high quality as cream cheese can possibly get, with a thick consistency – you just have to try it for yourself.

For another popular and delightful appetizer we have the Gunga By Kingdom which is a similar dish to the Shrimp Coxinha but instead of just shrimp, they put shrimp and salmon. One big win with the Gunga By Kingdom is that it adds a little bit of extra juiciness to this fried wonder.

Kingdom Sushi’s Salmon Carpaccio

Last, but definitely not the least – the Salmon Carpaccio. The Salmon Carpaccio is a simple dish yet is prepared to treat your taste buds with a burst of delicious salmon flavor. The Salmon Carpaccio comes thinly sliced and drenched in ponzu sauce with basil. This one is definitely a must-try.

Sushi

Now for what we’ve all been waiting for – the sushi. Kingdom Sushi’s menu is relatively small in comparison to other all you can eat sushi places but when you order your first roll here, you will quickly realize that variety isn’t everything.

This sushi restaurant has a strong focus in the quality of their ingredients. One ingredient that stands out is their implementation of Brazilian-style cream cheese. It’s so unique and tasty.

The salmon sashimi – such a basic dish prepared with such love and care; sprinkled with the right amount of zest.

The Temaki is a heavy hitter here for our eaters with a larger appetite.

With a simple yet unique selection, the Kingdom Sushi will not fail to impress you.

Dessert

Kingdom Sushi’s Crunchy Ice Cream and Nutella Roll

Not only are the appetizers and sushi all-you-can-eat but the desserts are too!

We tried the Nutella Roll and it’s a wonderful dessert for Nutella lovers. It looks like a spring roll but fried in Nutella!

Lastly, we ended our large meal with the Crunchy Ice Cream which is vanilla ice cream, chopped peanuts, drizzle with strawberry jam.

Conclusion

Kingdom Sushi may be an all-you-can-eat sushi place, but one thing they aren’t is frugal with their ingredients. Upon arriving here and receiving your first order, you quickly realize that Kingdom Sushi is a place that values their quality and they non-verbally punctualize that by their plates alone.

If you’re looking for guaranteed quality sushi, Kingdom Sushi is the place to be.
