Jacksonville, Florida now has a 3D/360° virtual shopping mall with a variety of store options to choose from.
One of the best ways to describe this virtual mall is – Etsy, but better; local vendors markets, but at your finger tips.
Jax Virtual Mall is for the community.
“The people’s champion” as one can say; the reason why is simple – opportunity.
The Jacksonville Virtual Mall is heavily committed to supporting small businesses and offering shoppers a unique online shopping experience.
The Jacksonville June Bug Take

This is the Jacksonville June Bug, we want the truth and nothing but the truth.
This is our take.
The Jacksonville Virtual Mall revolves around small businesses – Jacksonville, being a growing city can definitely use another method of promoting small companies to add to the richness of the community.
This crafty project welcomes anyone willing to sell their own products.
How is this project different from Etsy?

Now, despite thinking – “this is like Etsy!”, “I can just sell my products on Etsy”.
Of course you can sell your products on Etsy.
Here’s the thing – the Jacksonville Virtual Mall team is not only dedicated to the Jax community, but this project is highly punctual in accepting business that sell their own crafts.
Due to their verification and approval process – they will not accept anyone who is doing dropshipping and/or resale which is a huge benefit for the small companies trying to sell their products.
This is because there will be no artificial filler(companies that dropship or resell) getting in the way of the vendor selling their own genuinely crafted products – keeping the JVM strictly consisting of authentic products.
Not just selling their products – but selling their products to the people, the people of Jacksonville.
Join Their Scavenger Hunt

One unique and interactive activity that the JVM offers is their scavenger hunt.
Somewhere hidden in the mall – there is an object that can be found. First person to find the hidden object wins it as an actual prize.
Typically – these hidden objects are locally highlighted prizes that relate to Jacksonville. They can be based off of landmarks, known places, or small businesses.
If you find the orange dinosaur bobblehead – you will win an actual orange dinosaur bobblehead.
These fun events keep the city engaged, adds something fun for visitors to do while shopping, and ultimately – raises overall morale of the buyer.
Future Plans For The Jacksonville Virtual Mall

The Jax Virtual Mall team aspires to grow and spread out through the community in multiple ways.
One big plan for the future of the mall is to host 360° video events and to give consumers the option to attend in person. Not only are events like this great for vendor recognition, but it’s an excellent way for vendors to connect with the community.
Another move the Jax Virtual Mall has in their books is to set up self-service digital lockers around Jacksonville. This allows vendors to drop off a purchased product in a safe locker for the buyer to later pick up. Lockers like this will hopefully eliminate the need for a third-party delivery company – reducing the costs for everyone.
With cryptocurrency gaining more and more popularity as the years go by, it’s becoming a very common form of payment in the online shopping world. The JVM team plans to eventually add a cryptocurrency payment option to their website.
Something that has recently gained popularity throughout the years is Virtual Reality. Yes, you read that correctly – Jacksonville Virtual Mall has plans to eventually bring their online venue to VR. This can be a huge game change for both vendor and buyer.
Becoming a Vendor

The beauty of this virtual mall is the possibilities – they are limitless.
There is no restriction in a virtual mall as opposed to something physical. In a physical mall, there is a limit in space to how many vendors can set up shop to which this virtual mall provides a solution for.
The Jacksonville Virtual Mall provides an excellent outlet for small companies that run online because it gives them the tools to sell their products as efficiently as possible.
Although there is a 7.5% per sale, the sign up is completely free and with no membership fees.
As a sign up bonus – vendors get there first 10 sales commission FREE
The Jacksonville Virtual Mall Mission

The Jacksonville Virtual Mall revolves around many goals.
One big goal is to have an impact in the community whether you’re the buyer or the seller.
They strive to drive traffic to vendors so that more people stumble across their products and to allow vendors to sell without any upfront costs.
The JVM team has a handful of plans they aspire to implement to optimize shopper and seller experience.
No matter if you’re a vendor or a consumer – The Jacksonville Virtual Mall welcomes you to it’s cyber doors and embracing the community one visit at a time.
