Located at: 1848 Kings Cir S, Neptune Beach, FL 32266

Florida is a wonderful place and has many exciting things going on, whether you’re a native or tourist there is always something going on every single day.

As humans, we long for other human interaction thus – looking for places to get social and meet new people.

Like us humans, dogs also need social interactions. When dogs play with other dogs it provides a lengthy list of mental and physical benefits for your pupper.

While Jacksonville has dozens of dog parks, there’s one in Jax that we consider the ultimate dog park.

BrewHound Dog Park + Bar upholds the sublime atmosphere of non-stop fun for any dog in attendance.

This park was constructed for one obvious reason: to bring joy and unity to the Jacksonville Metropolitan Area. Places like BrewHound is what makes a community a community, it strengths the cultural foundation and with the love put in creating this park, you know they are here to stay.

It is not farfetched that BrewHound should be considered a hub(if not, the hub) for all dogs and dog owners to unite as a community.

Let’s dive deeper into BrewHound Dog Park + Bar.

Entrance

BrewHound Dog Park entrance

Now as soon as you approach the entrance you’re greeted with a majestically themed welcome sign.

Upon entering, you’ll notice a booth. This is where you pay your entrance fee including three different passes: day pass, month pass, and annual pass.

Rules indicate that dogs over 10 months old attending BrewHound must be spayed or neutered.

It’s important to know that a registry is required before entry and it’s crucial that you bring proof of vaccination for Distemper, Bordetella, and Rabies.

You can register your dog and sign the park waiver here

Bar and Lounging Area

BrewHound isn’t just about the dogs – it’s about the community. Right next to the actual dog park, you will notice a kids playing area with toys and games.

There is also a bar area which they refer to as “The Porch”; here, you’re able to order strictly drinks such as local craft beers, wine, coffee, tea, and even kava shells.

BrewHound Bar area

While there is no fresh food served here at BrewHound, you’re more than welcomed to bring your own food and snacks or feel free to make a delivery order. It’s important to know that food can only be eaten in The Porch and is not allowed in the actual dog park.

Right where the bar is located – you can also purchase BrewHound merchandise such as hats, t-shirts, stickers, koozies, and much more.

The Yard

Now for the main attraction of the dog park – the actual dog park, or what they refer it as, “The Yard”. The Yard is where not only the humans gather, but also the dogs. The Yard is the place for dogs to be, it gives them an opportunity to interact with other dogs. At BrewHound, dogs can run and play with other dogs.

BrewHound Dog Park

It’s pivotal for dogs to let loose and release all their energy; the dog park is suited just for that. The park includes fun obstacle courses which you can train your pup, plus give them a chance to run and enjoy themselves.

There are two sections to The Yard that include the main part of the park which dogs of all sizes are welcomed and a much smaller, less crowded section of the park made specifically for only small dogs.

BrewHound Obstacle Course

To accommodate pet owners, there are chairs and tables posted for the relaxation of us humans to sit back and enjoy a drink straight from the BrewHound bar. You are also more than welcomed to bring your own chairs.

Remember, food nor pet treats are allowed within The Yard.

The owner of each pup is responsible for their own dog; whether it’s stopping fights, cleaning up after dog, or making sure the dog has good behavior.

Stationed around the dog parks are hoses, poop bags, and hand sanitizing posts to ensure that owners have the proper tools available to clean up after their dog.

Also available in The Yard is a fountain for dogs to play with safe-to-drink water. Make sure you bring a towel to avoid “wet dog” smell in your car.

Ruffarees

The Ruffarees are workers specifically designated by BrewHound to maintain a positive and fun environment for both humans and dogs. They enforce park rules as well as assisting keeping the area sanitized.

Dogs are ultimately under the responsibility of their owners and not the Ruffarees.

The way to spot a Ruffaree is to look for someone wearing a red shirt that says “Ruffaree” on it. They are friendly and very loving towards the dogs. They practice proper etiquette to uphold only the highest standards for our beloved pups.
